PGHS talk of 25 Feb: ‘Owls of approval!
It was quite something to see a Barn Owl flying silently over our heads in Partridge Green Village Hall.
A packed hall was enthralled when Andy and Corry from ‘Owls about Town’ brought six of their many birds to educate and entertain the latest meeting of the Partridge Green Horticultural Society. Many people donned gauntlets for the owls to fly to their hands or to have an owl sit with them for a while.
Amusingly the birds are mostly named after politicians, and we were treated to meeting Mo Mowlam, Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage, among others.
Our talk on 28th April will be ‘An A-Z of Gardening Tips’ by Mark Saunders, Head Gardener at Fittleworth House. Follow this link for details of all our events.
